Two English teachers for Diospi Suyana School

Eva Ruttinger and Evelyn Schneider

On Monday in Bad Rappenau: The ringing of the bells at 6 p.m. of the Catholic Herz Jesu Church was a positive prelude to a good evening. In the packed parish hall, Eva Ruttinger (above right) told why her path will take her from southern Germany to Peru. As a committed Christian, the Catholic wants to pass on “the love of Jesus” to the students in a very practical way. And that’s as an English teacher. Last but not least, the influence of her devout grandparents familiarized the sympathetic educator with the person of Jesus Christ.

Two days later in Schwäbisch Gmünd: After the presentation by the mission doctor, Evelyn Schneider (top left) explains why she too would like to work at the Diospi Suyana School as an English teacher. Eva and Evelyn have more in common than just the “E” in their first names. Their social commitment stands firmly on the basis of lived faith. Faith not as a nebulous phrase, but as a firm trust in the man on the cross who rose from the dead on the 3rd day.

So it’s no coincidence that they both spent a few months at the Capernwray Christian Training School. The interdenominational institution in the West of England has turned countless young people into torchbearers of the best message there is since World War 2.

Congratulations in advance to principals Matthias Rehder, Niklas Sierra and Jonathan Rosenkranz on a great future with two patent English teachers. /KDJ
