Don Eder has the right powder for every ailment
Not 30 steps from the main entrance of the mission hospital, Don Eder is waiting for his customers. He comes from Cusco and fights in his own way against the diseases of this world. His little pad is filled to the brim with fruits, powders, liquids and even stones. Yup, the gray boulders help against the worst disorders of the stomach. At least that’s what Don Eder says. He must know, because after all, he has been offering his products at the usual market prices for years. Surely he gets occasional feedback from grateful buyers.
If you believe his signage, Don Eder specializes in stomach, liver, kidney and prostate. So in other words, it covers half the human organism. And who says that a good elixir for the liver can not also help against athlete’s foot. So far, no one has provided this proof.
So I keep every bet that his alternative medicine also helps many sick people. It remains to be seen whether this is due to a placebo effect or to the pills from the hospital pharmacy. And the next time my stomach really squeezes, I’m going to get one of his stones. I let the pebble jump over the water on the river below and immediately feel better. In the stomach and in general.
One thing I can say is Don Eder is a nice guy. And so far, no one has died from his treatment methods. At least I haven’t heard of any deaths. Which doesn’t mean much, though, because I’m often on the road, as you know. /KDJ
