Like ants
Last week, the floor slab of House 8 in the Colegio was concreted. A mountain of sand, gravel and cement piled up on the construction site. 20 workers set to work with two mixing machines, shovels and wheelbarrows to mix and pour the 46 m³ of concrete according to a tried and tested recipe. After 2 days, the 234 m² floor slab was poured. The hustle and bustle was reminiscent of two ant trails to and from the mixers. In the meantime, the bases for the foundations of house 9 have also been completed and some reinforcement cages have been made.
The MRI machine has also been installed and now it’s just a matter of closing and plastering the wall again for installation. Remaining work is also being carried out in the ventilation center. It’s nice to see this construction project coming to an end. But as is the case with “remaining work”, it usually drags on because other building projects are about to start or are already underway.
A peaceful weekend to all our readers.
Saludos, Christian
