“Vida en los Andes” was fantastic
On Wednesday evening, the members of the short preparatory committee (three key people were missing) reviewed the festival. Many details and data were the subject of discussion. These are the available figures.
5,058 young people from Peru and other countries had registered and paid the fee.
4,610 participants actually attended the evenings in the amphitheater. We had to adjust both figures upwards.
59% of the young people were female, 41% were male.
For two thirds of the participants it was the first Diospi Suyana Festival.
Between 3,300 and 3,400 young people slept in Diospi Suyana’s tents. Over a third of the participants were looking for private accommodation.
340 volunteers helped to organize the event. Around 720 young people made use of a pastoral care service. 2,000 young people visited the central prayer courtyard of the Diospi Suyana School.
The participants came from all 24 states of Peru and 22 countries.
The secular TV channels Peru 21, Frecuencia Latina, Exitosa, Panamericana and ATV reported on the festival.
