Time for a breather between the years

New flooring for two operating theatres

Europeans, US-Americans and Peruvians have one thing in common.  They avoid hospitals like the plague between Christmas and New Year.  If at all possible one puts off going to the doctor until January.  We have been waiting for this small time frame in the normal everyday stress.  So this week the floor in two operating theatres is being renewed.  A specialised company from Lima arrived yesterday and is making quite a lot of dust.  A real blessing that our workshop team headed by Pit Werner has sealed off the rest of the operating theatres well.  Hence operations can still be performed.  Or as the Americans say: the show must go on!

The old floors have been taken out already.
Yawning emptiness on the sick wards.
Many empty chairs in the waiting rooms.
