Off to Barsinghausen to visit Deister Electronic
A good 20 years ago, the Stobbe and John couple met at a company near Berlin. The result can best be summarized as follows: The majority of the security technology in the hospital, at the school, in the media center and even in the leisure home (Christian meeting place) has so far been donated by Deister Electronic.
His age doesn’t show. Full of zest for action, Anatoli Stobbe jumps onto the stage and tells the 65 employees how he got to know the missionary doctors John. Two decades ago, the enterprising entrepreneur could never have imagined that this crazy idea of a modern hospital – financed solely from donations, mind you – would ever come to fruition.
“Then Klaus John came by again,” remarks Stobbe, “and said: ‘The shell is finished!’ At this point, we stepped in with our company and helped where we could. Because we really hadn’t expected such a development!”
After the usual talk by the missionary doctor, employees show personal footage of their visits to Curahuasi. Are the listeners proud of their bosses who have paid so much for a work of faith on another continent? The rapt attention of the colleagues suggests so.
