Doris Manco at the inspection of our plant in Echarate
On August 31, our media center will celebrate its 10th anniversary. Over the past few years, our network of radio towers has grown to 12. In the states of Apurimac, Cusco, Puno, Madre de Dios and Ayacucho, 50% of people can receive our program.
Of course, looking after these broadcasting facilities is time-consuming. Doris Manco, head of our media department, won’t even know how many times she has visited the various sites. A few hours ago, she had to unlock the steel doors for two inspectors in Echarate (Cusco state). It was a completely normal inspection. Everything was in order and once the relevant forms had been completed, Doris was able to start her journey back to Curahuasi.
We will never know how many people tune in to our radio frequencies day and night. Our daily listeners also include the female prisoners of the city prison in Abancay. The importance of our radio channel cannot be overestimated. A program without any profit motive, but with the best message for the world (Con el mejor mensaje al mundo). /KDJ
