Erlangen University Hospital helps with MRI findings

Dr. Stefan Kessler on assignment for Diospi Suyana

The radiologist from Wiesbaden lives with his wife near Lisbon. In retirement, he should rightly be enjoying the fresh water and warm sun on the beach. But nothing of the sort. Instead, he invests a lot of time, energy and money in his voluntary work for missionary hospitals. With patience and experience, he performs CT and MRI scans for the Tenwek Hospital in Kenya and the Diospi Suyana Hospital in Peru.

Yesterday, he played a leading role in establishing our connection to Erlangen University Hospital. From May 28, the radiologists led by Prof. Michael Uder will be involved in the evaluation of our MRI images. We would like to thank the winners of the German Future Prize 2023 and Siemens Heathineers for their mega-donation of a new MRI scanner. The support from Bavaria for our daily examinations is also very welcome. And Dr. Kessler came at the right moment to get the tele-evaluation off the ground. So we would like to say thank you in many directions at the same time. /KDJ
