New building sites in Curahuasi and Anduhuaylas

A camera and a Smartphone bring you up to date…

Dear Diospi friends, tempus fugit – especially if you translate tempus with “week”! If I look at the pictures I took last week, I can see we have made progress and that we are nearing the end of the preliminary building works.

In I. BA the roof eaves and the rain gutters are in place; the scaffolding is now being used by the plasterers on the north façade of II. BA.  The plasterwork inside I. BA is currently on hold. In III. BA all ferroconcrete beams have been poured in place and the work-platforms for the mounting of the roof are being assembled.

The second storey of the outside stairway is currently being worked on.  On the embankment above the Residence foundation work has begun for further solar collectors.  I wish you a good and blessed weekend, Udo.

Last Tuesday surveyors dug a more than 2 metre deep hole in Andahuaylas to examine the ground on which the planned aerial tower should be built.  Doris Manco, head of the Media Centre, was there to coordinate the work and liaise with the engineers.

An unusual view of the hospital.
The middle longitudinal beam in 3. construction phase is complete.
The second storey of the outside stairway is currently being worked on.
The foundation work for the new solar collectors.
Soil analysis on the hill above the town of Andahuaylas. The aerial tower should be standing here in a couple of weeks.
We are finished before nightfall – Doris Manco is satisfied.
