Like NASA-engineers during a mission to Mars

Christian van Rensen writes: Chris Welch and I thought we were NASA-engineers on a mission to Mars when pictures of Andahuaylas reached us via satellite.  Believe it or not they had travelled over 70,000km.  By means of equipment that was built in exactly the same way, we had to figure out how to lure the video-lifestream out of the box; only then was Chris able to connect to our aerial-tower in Andahuaylas via the satellite-modem.

He has reason enough to be satisfied.  By completing the complex configuration at the first attempt – and having no prior testing possibilities in situ – Chris has once again proven his mettle.

N.B. We use telemetry for the remote monitoring of our transmitting stations.

Testing ground: high-tech.
