And now take a deep breath – that was the scope of “Vida en los Andes”

These figures make your head spin

There must be a reason why five secular TV channels (Peru21, Frecuencia Latina, Panamericana, Exitosa and ATV) are reporting on a Christian festival.

These are the bare facts: There were 4,500 people in the amphitheater. They came from 24 states and 22 countries. We registered over 3 million clicks on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. Over 560,000 different listeners and viewers participated in the festival via social media. This does not include the viewers of the five national TV reports. Diospi Suyana broadcast the evening events live in five states via our 12 FM frequencies. With an estimated 100,000 radio listeners, the “Vida en los Andes” festival has reached 660,000 people. The figures for an app that allowed cell phone users to watch the event are still missing.

In a press release, Doris Manco, head of our media center, found the following words (an excerpt):

Under the heading “Faith in action in Curahuasi: Festival Vida en los Andes without drugs, alcohol and violence”

The Diospi Suyana festival “Vida en los Andes” transformed the district of Curahuasi into a true epicenter of faith. From April 26 to 30, 4,500 young people from Peru and abroad took part in this event, which was organized by the Diospi Suyana mission. The expression in the Quechua language means “We trust in God!”

Through the plenary events, workshops, sports events, films, ten concerts with international artists, prayer events, pastoral talks and worship, the festival emphasized the paramount importance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
