On Saturday there was off-road motorcycling in Curahuasi. Two members of staff from the Diospi Suyana hospital were on site with an ambulance to provide first aid if necessary.
Two riders flew out of the saddle and had to be taken to the mission hospital, one with a suspected fractured collar-bone, the other with a possible ruptured spleen, neither of which, fortunately, turned out to be the case.
