And again Christian Heuchert writes a construction report

Poco a poco – step by step

Dear friends, here in Peru we say “poco a poco” when things are progressing bit by bit, in this case the construction is progressing bit by bit. On the construction site at the Colegio, we now have a permanent construction team with an experienced foreman, 7-8 men and two women – unless another construction site needs workers at short notice. The bases of the foundations for the 2nd building (“Building B”) have been completed, as have more than half of the foundations. Work has begun on excavating the foundation beams. The first bricks have been delivered and are now waiting to be used.

Lucmos

We are delighted to have been granted the rights to use the spring at the leisure center. In order to capture the spring and then pump out the water, it was necessary to build a kind of enclosure / water basin for the pump. This had to be realized at very short notice, as we are expecting the state inspection and approval for the commissioning of our spring catchment shortly. Building in flowing water without the usual aids used in Germany was a challenge and required some creativity.

A steel construction company is currently welding, painting and installing the railings at the Freizeit-/Bibelheim.

MRI

The wall has been built and plastered. From the outside, you can see almost nothing of the construction site for the MRI machine. But the remaining work is still in full swing.

A peaceful long weekend to all our readers. Ascension Day was a normal working day here in Peru.

Saludos, Christian

(Caption above: The foundations have been laid. This means that we not only have a firm base, but also the exact heights on which we can build).
