An Empirical Proof of God’s Existence—Is There Such a Thing?

An event that cannot be calculated mathematically.

Over the millennia, theologians and scientists have repeatedly attempted to prove God’s existence. None of them succeeded in providing an unbroken chain of proof. But millions of people have experienced the workings of the Almighty so compellingly that they have been convinced of God’s nearness beyond all doubt.

March 2022. Entrepreneur Dr. Stefan Uder wants to download songs by the band Patchwork from Spotify. One of these songs is titled “Gottesbeweis” and begins with the line “I have seen God!”

A few weeks later, while on a business trip, Dr. Uder connects his cell phone to the car’s audio system to listen to those songs. To his annoyance, he realizes he made a mistake. Instead of the songs by that band, an audiobook titled “I Saw God!” had slipped into his playlist.

After five hours on German highways, he has taken the story of Diospi Suyana to heart. He is deeply moved and wants to make a large donation. However, he forgets his intention. He simply has far too much to do.

Eighteen months have passed. In November 2023, his brother, Prof. Dr. Michael Uder, a full professor in the Department of Radiology at Erlangen University Hospital, won the German Future Prize. He and the Siemens engineers Dr. Stephan Biber and Dr. David Grodzki have designed an MRI scanner that requires only 0.7 liters of helium. Conventional devices need 1,500 liters to cool the system. A true breakthrough with global significance.

Stefan Uder recalled the audiobook about Diospi Suyana and put Dr. Klaus John in touch with the award winners. The result can only be described as breathtaking. The scientists donated their entire prize money to Diospi Suyana. Siemens Healthineers tripled the amount. On November 27, 2024, the symbolic handover took place at Bellevue Palace in the presence of the German Federal President. A hospital on this planet—the Diospi Suyana Hospital—received this unique donation.

Dr. Stefan Uder wanted to download the song “Proof of God.” But he made a mistake. The story that followed, however, encourages Christians of all denominations that the God of old truly exists. For “Diospi Suyana” came into being out of nothing through trust in God, and it proclaims our conviction to the world. And that conviction is this: God is neither a joke nor a figment of the imagination, but the highest authority in our universe. /KDJ
