What does the Diospi Suyana Hospital in the south have to do with northern Peru?
Yesterday Diospi Suyana received an official invitation from Congresswoman Sra. Magally Suclupe from Tumbes.
The representative of the northernmost state asked for a medical mission from our mission in an area 2200 km away from Curahuasi. It is of course legitimate that a top Peruvian politician should seek cooperation with Diospi Suyana.
As we heard, a large hospital in Tumbes – although only five years old – had to be closed because the soil survey was faulty. Now the hospital is collapsing and 30 million USD have been wasted.
However, the contact made by a member of Congress also shows how legendary the reputation of our hospital has become in Peru. A small missionary hospital has become a beacon of hope for many. A result of living faith.
