A lightening strike
Always prepared. This phrase or words to similar effect could be the life motto of our head operating-room nurse. In the operating theatre Valentina Sawatzki is always there when disaster strikes. Furthermore, she seems to have a sixth sense by which she discovers the important moments of life. A couple of days ago Curahuasi had a rendezvous with a thunderstorm and Valentina was lying on the look-out, camera in hand, waiting for “the picture”. Of the 25,000 Curahuasinos she was the only photographer who documented the lightening strike into Curahuasi’s landmark.
The film shows thick smoke billowing from the church tower. An impressive feat by Valentina Sawatzki.
