A broadcasting location for the regional capital Abancay

At an altitude of 4,077m

Last year Diospi Suyana bought a FM-frequency for Abancay, the capital of Apurimac State.  During her search for a good location Doris Manco got in contact with a village community that through the great land reform of 1969 owns a mountain on the outskirts of the city.

The village governance helped us find a suitable place in lofty heights.  Last Wednesday Dr John and Doris Manco presented Diospi Suyana’s work to the Comuneros (representatives of the local families).  Yesterday at an extraordinary general meeting the populus voted to support our cause.

We hope that building work will start in the first week of February.  From the new location on the mountain we estimate that 0.1mio more people will be able to tune into Radio Diospi Suyana.
