The Rainy Season Is Looming

Dear Friends,

This week the construction team focused on the extension of the Consulta Externa, the out-patient clinic. A thunderstorm, which included heavy rain, reminded us to hurry up before the rainy season hits. We are planning to separate the existing hip roof of the Consulta Externa and move the two pieces horizontally apart by roughly six feet. We will cover the resulting gap with a new roof. During this roof construction phase, the subjacent six examination rooms will need to be closed.

Before this phase begins however, all masonry work as well as the ceilings need to be finished. I hope that the roof construction can be kicked off at the end of September.

Moving on to the update of the childrens house, here we are finalizing the molding for the second half of the ceilings, the interior walls as well as all electrical and pipe installations.

Greetings from Curahuasi, Udo
