The Advincula family sees things differently
Around 30 restaurants and bakeries. 800 employees. A growing empire. In the large Santa Anita shopping center in the capital city of Lima, a kind of company party is taking place on the 2nd floor. Prizes are awarded to the best employees. The atmosphere is great and there is a lot of clapping. General Manager Victor Advincula has invited a guest speaker. The German-Peruvian takes the floor and tells a story that seems almost unbelievable to the 50 people present. From nothing, a network of works of national importance and worldwide renown was created.
The missionary doctor shows a picture with three crosses and then a garden grave. “For me, the empty tomb of Jesus Christ is the only hope. Each of them can try out this faith!” The audience is secular. They are managers of large restaurants. The message in this form is completely unexpected. But how could one explain the chain of coincidences and miracles – if not with God?
Victor Advincula takes the microphone. “Many years ago I saw a report on television about Diospi Suyana. I couldn’t get this thing out of my head. That there are people who put everything on the line for their faith!” – The men and women behind the tables realize that they are hearing a private confession from their boss and prick up their ears. “Finally, in January 2022, my mother and I traveled to Curahuasi to take a look at Diospi Suyana. We were given a guided tour and Dr. John showed us the same pictures we just saw!”
Don Victor takes a short break and searches for words. “As a family, we also thought about the meaning of life. Is there a reality after death? And we made the decision that we would like to support Diospi Suyana’s various initiatives!”
Explanation: The Advinculas are convinced Christians. Since the beginning of 2022, no other company in Peru has supported Diospi Suyana as much as this family. This applies in particular to the hospital, the school and the youth festivals.
His mother Susi once said: “Our money belongs to God. We are only his stewards!” The result speaks volumes. The Advinculas’ unselfishness proves that God – and not money – comes first in their lives. /KDJ
