In Darmstadt Gabriel Maurer and his wife Rahel (in the above photo) were delighted over the first donation of CHF10. The qualified carer and the medical practice employee from Basle have been officially accepted as candidates by Diospi Suyana. Now they must build up their support-network. For six years they thought about whether they should go to Peru or not. Finally they took a decision and have now stepped up to the plate.
OTA Damaris Götz and motorcar mechanic Ruben Bereswill can also start preparing for their missionary stint in Peru. All four applicants were bubbling over with enthusiasm and are dying for action. They are leaving the role of a passive spectator and are entering the role of future employees. The risks are high. From a human perspective there are no guarantees. But trusting in God Gabriel, Rahel, Damaris and Ruben want to take this step. That is why they have stepped into the arena and – we are sure – they will do their utmost to fulfil their mission.
