Visible and tangible
Pastor John Iuliano (centre) and Ronny Marin’s (left) visit to Diospi Suyana was more than a trip into the middle of nowhere. Both of them flew in especially from Sydney in order to see Diospi Suyana for themselves. Their church in Australia supports the missionary family Welch. Two years ago they saw a presentation on Diospi Suyana on a screen back home, but now they can experience the missionary hospital live – which is of course much better!
Pierre-Enric Steiger, President of the Deutsche Steiger Stiftung, also wanted to see Diospi for himself, accompanied by his friend George Norwood. For several years the American was president of a student mission in Germany. Both of them have countless key-contacts worldwide. God knows what will come of their trip to South America.
Dr Jens Haßfeld introduces the guests in the morning service and brings joy to the assembled Quechua-Indian patients, none of whom have probably ever left the Peruvian Andes.
