June 20, 2007 was an important day for Diospi Suyana. Only two of the company’s men were listening to Dr. John`s speech about the hospital in Peru, and at the end Dr. John told them what he really needs! “We urgently need a sterilizer for our operating rooms!”
The Director, Mr Meurer, did not inattentatively listen to the speech! “Yes, you will get the sterilizer from us!”
Many months later, in Spring 2008, Michael Mörl and Detlev Hofman were installing the donated steam sterilizer in the hospital.
In the summer of 2008, Dr John called Mr Meurer again and asked him for another sterilizer machine. “We´ll see what we can do!” was the answer. The director´s words sounded promising, and Dr. John was hopeful.
Now, container No. 20 is on its way to Peru. Among the donated items is a big wooden crate, 2.26 meters high and 680 Kg.
