Census in Peru

Apurimac’s last figures were lost

Sr. Romel Borda is the official representative of the National Institute for Statistics for Curahuasi.  Yesterday he explained to us the upcoming census in the media centre.  Unfortunately the figures obtained from the last census, which was taken ten years ago, were lost.  On 22nd and 23rd October and on 6th November 230 helpers will swarm out and ask many questions.

It is interesting that no one exactly knows how many people actually live in Curahuasi.  The estimates range from 15,000 to 30,000.  Under what circumstances do the people in the villages live?

Which household owns a TV?  The collected information will also be relevant for Diospi Suyana.

We hope to have the evaluated data in Spring 2018, provided it will not have been stolen, hacked or lost.
