Video-laryngoscopes for the Hospital Diospi Suyana out of thankfulness
Johannes and Dr Petra Sitterberg run a pharmacy in the town of Hardheim in Baden Württemberg. Since pharmacists have profited from the pandemic, they want to give something back. The idea they came up with was “Gemeinsam Gutes tun” (let us do good things together). The event was a real success. They donated €9,200 to our missionary hospital. We will use the money to equip our intensive care wards, the operating theatre wing and the A+E with modern video-laryngoscopes. A big “dankeschön” to the Sitterbergs and everyone who took part in this ingenious idea.
Video-laryngoscopes are a big help when it comes to difficult intubations of the trachea. On the monitor one can see the vocal cords of the larynx.
