The construction report by Johannes Bahr

Progress in the campsites and not only there

Dear Diospi Suyana friends and readers of the construction report, things are progressing on the building site! After we were finally able to hire a carpenter, work began immediately on shuttering the first section of the wall for the water cystars. We were then able to cast this on Tuesday with our combined forces.

Bricklaying has been going on diligently on the lower building since Monday. Of course, we must not forget to install the water pipes for the showers beforehand. The exterior wall is now almost at the desired height and the first bracing columns can be concreted.

Parallel to this, the second wall section is now being formed at the cistern and I expect that we will be able to pour the concrete at the beginning of next week. For the workers who do not form or masonry, there is still work. So we have already made the two sewage shafts and are digging the trenches for the pipes. An entrance ramp was also concreted at the amphitheater.

On the lower site – the neighboring construction site – the sodding and masonry work is also progressing well.

I wish you a beautiful and blessed week, Johannes Bahr (caption above: view of campsite 2)
