The Diospi Suyana community said goodbye to 7 employees and their children
The Meiswinkels, O’Neills, Thens and Julia Kruse worked at the Diospi Suyana Hospital for between three and four years. Saying goodbye is hard for everyone, those who are leaving and those who are staying behind. In a missionary organization like Diospi Suyana, many friendships are formed that last a lifetime. And saying goodbye hurts.
Christians find real hope even in the midst of these melancholic moments. You know that there will always be a reunion. If not on this earth, then on the other side of the curtain in God’s presence. The legendary western “The Magnificent Seven” was made in 1960. The efforts of our glorious seven were more than just entertainment. The German and English employees served God and the people and left behind a broad trail of blessings.
Of course we will miss them and vice versa. But God will accompany them to new shores and comfort us all over the separation that has arisen.
Little James O’Neill was knighted by Christian Haupt during the festival. Our master orthopaedic technician quoted words from the Book of Joshua: “God will bless you wherever you go!” This blessing applies in a special way to all those who will be packing their suitcases in the coming weeks and making a new start in other countries and places. /KDJ
