When pastor Santos starts to pray the two Quechua women next to me kneel down. They are full of devotion and it is obvious that this conversation with God is important to them.
I don’t know the two women. Like most patients, they probably had to travel far to get here. And they probably don’t have much. But as I am looking at their faces, I realize that, in reality, they are rich.
Those who kneel before God’s holiness, lifting their hands to the Most High, might have an empty bank account but not an empty heart.
