This past week was all about PERI, the German form work systems company that so generously supports us.
First, a PERI-expert from Lima arrived to theoretically train our construction crew on the usage of the PERI form work system MULTIFLEX. On Tuesday, another PERI-staffer arrived to provide a two-day practical training, which took place while putting the form work in place on the first floor of Building 5. Our workers are very excited about this until-then-unknown and so much easier method. On top of that, this construction site might be the first one in Curahuasi to ever feature a platform with a safety rail.
We have started work on the walls for Building 4. And, the fact that the first three buildings are identical construction-wise makes things easier in general. We’ve also continued the excavation work for the foundation of Building 3.Have a nice weekend!Udo
