Six towers currently stand on the mountain tops – soon there will be eight

Radio Diospi Suyana reaches thousands of houses

In the sky I am fascinated by an interesting cloud formation and the way the sun’s secretive light illuminates the city of Andahuaylas in the State of Apurimac. 0.1mio people live in the valleys below, most of them are Quechua-Indians.  The antenna on the mountain top sends Diospi Suyana’s programme into a magnificent mountain world 24 hours a day.

In the next few months we will erect two more aerial towers: one above the city of Abancay in the State of Apurimac, the other near the city of Sicuani in the State of Cusco.

Four-fifths of our patients live in the country states of Apurimac, Cusco, Puno and Madre de Dios. Currently every fourth person living here can tune into our radio programme.  Of course there are countless radio channels in Peru, but the respective content makes the difference.

A 36m high tower.
