School starts with total zoom

And a demanding syllabus

“Welcome” is written on the wall behind Luz Herrera.  As of yesterday, Monday, 410 pupils of the Colegio Diospi Suyana are being taught by means of elaborate lessons.  In the mornings nine zoom-programmes run parallel for the lower school, a further five for the senior school are put on during the afternoons.  Furthermore, the teaching materials are distributed on a weekly basis at nine locations throughout Curahuasi.  For the 10% of the families who have no internet access we are hoping of being able to offer face-to-face lessons at specific locations and adhering to the strict Corona-protection-measures within a couple of days.

One does not need to be a teacher in order to estimate how much hard work is put into each individual teaching unit.  Currently a fibre optic cable is being laid in order to improve the internet access: rosy prospects for the future!

We bring our pupils to the very front: Ubher Limaco.
We will also master this challenge: Melissa Sotelo.
Concentration has a name: Matthias Rehder.
As pupils we would have loved it, if our teachers had motivated us so positively: Jaris Hurtado.
Full of heart and goodness: Elisabeth Cuchillo.
Engaged and prepared: Carmen Medina.
“Hurry up, guys, we need a perfectly functioning internet!” – Two technicians are laying the broadband cable.
