Sabine Teichert – a woman called by God

Blessed and confirmed

Nurse Sabine gives training on holistic care.  She talks about the fact that caring for patients is much more than just doing the mere necessities.  Valuing and respecting the patients is the real heart of the matter.  The contents are true – that goes without saying – and a missionary hospital could not have put it a better way.  It is no coincidence that the light of the sun streams through the window.  Sabine stands and lives in God’s spotlight.

When she applied to Diospi Suyana six years ago, she wrote the following under the heading ‘motivation’: “…In the summer of 2015 my boss who was head of the dialysis department came to me and asked me straight out, if I did not want to start training to become a nurse.  I was totally knocked for six, but noticed during my prayer times over the next few days that this idea was God’s will, but I had absolutely no clue as to why.  But, trusting in God I ventured into the unknown.  I applied for a training position at the Mühlacker Hospital and was accepted within a few days.

The subsequent 6 months were filled with doubts and insecurities, since I had no clue why I was undertaking all the strain and stress of a further traineeship.  Especially since I loved working in the dialysis department and had no inclination of leaving my position….  In the spring of 2016 I heard about Diospi Suyana for the first time.  I was gripped immediately.  Listening to ERF (a German Christian Radio Station) I caught the end of a programme about Diospi Suyana.  I immediately went online and accessed the website.  When I saw the picture of the hospital, I knew immediately: “That is it.  You must go there.  That is your place!”  I suddenly knew exactly where God wanted to have me and why I had started my nursing training in 2016….”

Dear Reader, what do you think: can you see that God still leads us in the 21st century?  Of course it is dependent on us being prepared to do his will. /KDJ
