No break – the work continues immediately

Udo Klemenz reports

Dear Diospi friends, the festival and the following May Day is over and the big cleaning up and dismantling is in full swing. With a reduced force, the construction department is now continuing to work on two tracks for the time being.

Remaining work is being completed in and around the washroom and restroom building at the campground. The gables will be walled, plastering and screeding work is still to be done and the tiling work of floors, walls and the cistern must also be done.

As reported earlier, during the festival we started digging the excavation pit for a warehouse in the hillside behind the hospital. Due to the difficult local situation and the found building ground, an exact excavation with the available excavator was not possible, so that further excavations by hand are necessary.

The very stony and rocky subsoil naturally also makes it difficult to excavate the strip foundations, unfortunately a difficult and laborious job for the workers.

Love from Curahuasi and have a blessed weekend. Udo

The gables of the roof are walled.
Thick boulders make excavation difficult.
A lot of manual labor is required.
Slowly, things are taking shape.
