By October 19, 2012, over 94,000 patient visited the hospital, 679 patients were treated in the ICU, our doctors performed 1,670 endoscopies, Dr. Ursula Buck’s team treated 2,316 patients in the eye clinic, 6,500 patients were treated in the dental clinic (open since July 2010) and 3,833 patient had surgery in one of four hospital operating rooms.
Our conclusion: Despite the shortage of doctors and the chronic shortage of nurses, the Diopsi Suyana Team has been able to provide high-quality medical care to thousands of poor patients.
