Four aerial towers are now fully operational
A six hour drive through the mountains, four days of sweating and then, on Thursday at 6:20p.m., shortly after dusk had fallen, the relieving call: “We are on air!”
According to the 2012 Census more than 50,000 people live in the Chincheros Province. We have several patients who live in this Province. We thank Chris Welch, Cristobal Pancorbo, Gilder Salas, Luis Condori and Doris Manco for their persistence despite a fair number of setbacks. And now all of us can turn on our radios.
For several generations now the inhabitants of this region call this hill “Soldado Mujo” (Watchman’s Hill). May the aerial tower of Diospi Suyana watch over the people living around it – with the best news that exists.
