At 4 o’clock this afternoon we received a spectacular email from the headquarters of the company based in Lübeck. The Dräger family has decided to personally support Hospital Diospi Suyana with four new Anesthetic machines, a new pediatric ventilator and a neonatal resuscitation table.
The company management plans to hand over the machines officially in the hospital in Curahuasi, Peru.
A donation of this magnitude causes one to think over how many zeros come at the end of the total value of these machines.
In the Spring of 2004 we received 4 discarded Anesthetic machines from the hospital in Wiesbaden. Now, 4 years later, Hospital Diospi Suyana will boast 4 Operating Rooms with state-of-the-art technology.
We offer our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. and Mrs. Dräger for this unexpected decision. Our thanks goes also to Mr. Michael Karsta (General Manager to South America) who played an important role in the decision-making process.
