Marco Barrientos confirms the date
Diospi Suyana’s Amphitheatre can hold 4,000 people and thus offers the ideal setting for large-scale events, especially since last year a special roof was put on to protect the audience from rain and sun. A couple of days ago the organisation for the first Diospi-Suyana-Youth-Congress started. The four-day festival will be held beginning of August 2019.
Before he played for his concert in Arequipa Dr John met singer Marco Barrientos. In Latin-America Marco is a well-known Christian rock-musician. The missionary doctor told him about Diospi Suyana’s vision after which the Mexican immediately confirmed his attendance next August.
That evening the gifted musician and his band rocked Arequipa’s Colosseum and the audience enjoyed a fantastic evening. Marco’s music and texts fit together perfectly. We are delighted about Marco Barrientos’ positive response. A Dankeschön also goes to Doris Manco, the head of our Media Centre. Her contacts behind the scenes had made the meeting between singer and missionary doctor possible.
