The feedback came after six years
The Lorracher newspaper and the Free Evangelical School’s website had announced the visit of the mission doctor. It was his second visit to the FES, the first being in December 2007, when he spoke to a crowded auditorium. Nearly 6 years later, on September 13, 2013, teacher Heike Rabus wrote the following lines, which sparked yesterday’s presentation.
“It was awesome when Dr. John spoke a few years ago at the invitation of Mr. Born at our school! I’ll never forget his presentation and still remember how the teachers and students listened about the history of Diospi Suayana with their mouths open. It was one of the best student worships we had ever had. I will never forget the images, the miracles that God performed, and the enthusiasm with which Dr. John told them. I remember thinking, “if this man gets no air, he will collapse,” but we hardly dared to breath because we were so captured by what we heard.”
“I am really enthusiastic, especially because two people had a vision and with God’s help something grand emerged. The statement: “what can I do alone” I heard over and over again, was an absurdity! said Heike Rabus.
Yesterday, the medical missionary told the story to 600 of the middle and high school students. A deep peace filled the auditorium – only interrupted by the staccato speech style of the German/Peruvian man. A student who usually hates the morning worship like the plague told his teacher, “That was the coolest thing I’ve ever heard!”
