Hello friends, the rainy season is picking up speed and is naturally making our progress on the construction site more difficult. On Monday in particular, we had to interrupt work several times a day due to torrential rain. The grass of the central campsite, which is used to transport the building materials, is soggy and even small trucks have difficulty delivering the aggregates and cement for the concrete production.
Despite the adverse weather conditions, thanks to the hard work of the construction workers we managed to concrete the floor slab of the building in three sections this week.
Approx. 60 m³ of concrete (approx. 420 bags of cement) prepared in the mixing machine, transported by wheelbarrow to the chute and from there moved again by wheelbarrow to the paving area and installed. By Western European standards, this is an incredible, medieval feat of labor.
