Osteopath Markus Rottler has started giving therapy
Her journey of suffering has lasted a long eight years. When the eight-year-old, let’s call her Karina, was born, her birth was extremely difficult. As a result the girl had a pronounced torticollis. In the kindergarten and later a primary school her classmates made fun of her. Understandably her parents brought her from one doctor to the next. But, as if they were singing off the same hymn-sheet, they were always told: “That is nothing to worry about, the neck will straighten itself out by itself!” The words were comforting, but unfortunately no improvement was seen.
A week ago father and daughter visited the Hospital Diospi Suyana for the first time. They needed a good ten hours from Arequipa to get to Curahuasi. Osteopath Markus Rottler took her under his wings. For four days he massaged the soft tissues in the neck area and started to stretch the shrunken muscles. Then a specific collar was made that lifts the right side of her head. If everything goes according to plan, Markus Rottler will also treat the bony structures of the cervical spine.
We hope a visible improvement will be possible even after such a long time of misalignment. Then the mockery of her classmates will be a thing of the past. (The father gave his expressed permission to publicise these photos).
