The pirate chest from Buxtehude

Klaus Störtebeker II – sea pirates are our best friends

A perfect start.  The first presentation about Diospi Suyana took place yesterday in the packed Buxtehude’s St. Paul’s Church.  Two local newspapers had written beforehand about the event.  A TV-team was also present.  The listeners were gripped and this year’s St Martin’s Festival will be positively remembered by all.

Just before I pack up my things an elderly gentleman approaches me: “I love telling children pirate stories and I have a full treasure chest for Diospi Suyana!”

By which means was the cubed-shaped chest filled?  He gives no answer to my question.  And it is a well-known fact that one should never ask pirates whence they got their riches; that is a pirate-secret.

I can hardly wait to open the box in the next few days.  Of course I need to have 2 permille and be standing under a pirate-flag; ideally I could find my vessel on the Rhine and set sail into stormy waves.

Diospi Suyana never takes money from drug-bosses or money-launderers.  Nor do we have anything to do with mailbox companies or secret Swiss accounts.  But we do have a soft spot for pirate treasures.  We accept these anywhere at anytime.  By the way, where is my bottle of rum? /KDJ

Klaus Störtebeker II’s civil name was Karl Heinz Nutbohn. It is said that he counts as one of the most dreaded sea-pirates of the seven seas.
