Two red ribbons will be cut this week
Our MRI scanner and the associated contrast medium pump have already been in use for a few weeks, but the official inauguration will take place over the next few days. We are expecting many guests and two or three television crews.
The tour of the hospital is scheduled to last three hours. As the caravan is not allowed to walk through the operating theater, a cameraman will film the department inside. The guests (between 30 and 40) can then watch everything live on a screen in front of the intensive care unit. Everywhere in the hospital on Friday, hard-working people were toiling away to improve the overall impression.
Late in the evening, things got exciting again. A critically ill baby was struggling with death. A team of doctors provided support and trembled with him. The little fellow, weighing just 4.8 kg, kept doctors, nurses, the laboratory and the X-ray department on their toes.
Saturday morning. Our antenna tower above the city of Abancay will also be the subject of the excursion. So we drive 45 minutes towards the summit to inspect the facility. On the way, we carefully cross an accident site. The truck on the left hasn’t suffered much damage, the Toyota on the right will probably have to spend a few weeks in the workshop.
The evening was festive and fun. The Diospi Suyana community said goodbye. Five young volunteers are returning to Europe. They helped at the school, at the hospital and in the children’s clubs. Songs, games, a theater performance and prayers at the end. Our best wishes and blessings will accompany them.
