Seen in 24 countries by around half a million people
On January 16, 2004, Mission Doctors John gave their first official talk about Diospi Suyana at the Free Christian School in Frankfurt. At that time, 55 students listened to the explanations of the German-Peruvians. A good 18 years and 5 months later, there were 680 children, teens and adults who saw four presentations yesterday. And again the setting was the Free Christian School in Frankfurt. In an incredible way, a circle had been closed.
The events were attended by over 140,000 people. Another 160,000 watched the lectures on Youtube. In Germany and Peru, the presentations were also broadcast on television. So that, according to conservative estimates, a total of 500,000 viewers were able to see the story with pictures and text.
All public appearances ended with the cross of Christ and the empty tomb at Easter. In doing so, the missionary doctor always quoted a word of the Apostle Paul: “All I want is to know Christ and to experience the power of His resurrection ….. in hope of rising from death to life myself!” (Phil. 3,10)
Flashback December 2003. The suitcases were packed in the courtyard. In a few hours, the Johns planned to travel from Peru to Germany with their children and then begin public relations work in January 2004. The recommended Bible text in a devotional book was in Psalm 40:4. “He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many people will hear this and respect and trust the Lord again!”
The dream of building a modern hospital at the gates of Curahuasi was completely unknown. Humanly speaking, the idea was completely unfeasible anyway. The rest of the story is known to anyone familiar with this website. Half a million saw the lectures and 100 million people were reached through 550 media reports in TV channels, magazines, newspapers and radio programs. And everywhere readers, radio listeners and viewers took courage to take the God of old seriously again.
