Six players pray at center circle after the World Cup match between Germany and Curaçao
Felix Nmecha scored Germany’s first goal last night. After the game, he and Jonathan Tah stood in the center of the field with four players from the Curacao team. The reason was a very special one: arm in arm, they said a prayer together. On his Instagram profile (368,000 followers), he writes: “Soccer is my passion, Jesus is my foundation.” There, he also posts psalms from the Bible and Christian messages (“He is risen,” “prayer works”).
