GAT Donates an Elevator to Diospi Suyana

All components will be delivered in the next few days

The abbreviation GAT stands for the Gemeinschaft A ufzugs -T echnik eG” (Elevator Technology Cooperative). Kevin Rieke (top left) manages this association of 90 medium-sized companies. When he welcomed missionary doctor Dr. Klaus John to his conference room on June 12, 2025, he had no idea what awaited him. After the presentation about a particular Christian humanitarian aid organization in Peru, the ice was broken. GAT donated a second elevator, this time for the Diospi Suyana School.

Four hours ago, the German-Peruvian stopped by briefly in Bissendorf, near Osnabrück. The reason was a press photo. Everything is ready, and the expensive parts can now be loaded. The total donation amount for all components and installation is 30,000 euros.

Diospi Suyana would like to thank all the companies involved, and especially Kevin Rieke, who personally championed this latest in-kind donation. The elevator is great news for students with disabilities. Of course, taking the elevator to the first floor is easier for them than using the usual long ramp, which is typically required by Peruvian law.

Mil gracias! /KDJ
