Helmut Hund GmbH Pulls Off a Hat Trick

Donation of a Third High-Quality Microscope to the Diospi Suyana Hospital

When we talk about laboratory microscopes for clinical practice, we very quickly turn to high-performance products from Hund. Not many people know that the Wetzlar-based company has already equipped our mission hospital with top-of-the-line microscopes twice—in 2007 and 2009. Through donations, of course.

Solid, sturdy, and state-of-the-art technology. The best medicine for the poorest of the poor

Yesterday, Friday, five dynamic individuals who all have a deep appreciation for Diospi Suyana gathered in the company’s conference room. Following a presentation by Dr. Klaus John, it was time for a group photo. In the foreground was yet another new microscope worth several thousand euros.

Special thanks to Helmut Hund (Chairman of the Board, second from left), Verena Schön (Managing Director), and Dr. Jörg Haus (Product Management, second from right). Diospi-Suyana veteran civil engineer Udo Klemenz (left) and the mission doctor from Peru (right) were truly delighted by the third generous in-kind donation from the premium brand Helmut Hund.

It’s quite a coincidence that the managing director has planned a study trip to Peru later this year. Unsurprisingly, her itinerary will take her right past the Diospi Suyana Hospital. Then, of course, we’ll take the best photos in the lab. /KDJ
