Gas Alarms Brings Well Work to a Halt

On Friday the well work had reached a depth of 18 metres. In the last 5 metres the workers had hit a gas layer causing them headaches and inflammed mucous membranes. However, after an experimental guinea pig was able to live at the bottom of the pit for 12 hours, they have decided that the gas is probably not fatal!

Over the next few days the properties of the gas will be evaluated in a chemical laboratory in Lima. We hope the project can resume soon. The projection is for a depth of 50 metres in total. (Two fotos)
