People are being lured to the town of Calca on social media these days. German doctors from Curahuasi (= Diospi Suyana) are said to offer cures for all kinds of ailments. Yesterday evening Diospi Suyana Radio announced that this advertising campaign is a misuse of our mission’s good name.
Just over a month ago, men went through the state of Apurimac selling a miracle juice for 400 soles (100 euros). They said they came directly from the mission hospital and only wanted the best for the sick.
Ointments, tablets and juices are fraudulently marketed to the public. By the time we hear about these charlatans in hospital, it’s too late. The rogues have long since gone into hiding.
But there is one piece of good news in this mess. They prove that Diospi Suyana stands for quality and enjoys the trust of the population.
