Ex-patient manages the nurses in the emergency room and intensive care unit
Simone Klingelhöfer worked in physiotherapy at Diospi Suyana Hospital for two years. In 2009 she returned to Germany heavily pregnant with her husband Timo. She is currently back in Curahuasi and will proudly show her children the hospital and its surroundings in a few days.
Just over a week ago, Simone had her well-earned lunch in the canteen. A conversation about old times soon developed at the table. Then Elizabeth Vargas suddenly took the floor and turned to Simone: “I’m here today because of you!” – Wow.
Elizabeth was treated in hospital 16 years ago when she was still a child. The care she received in physiotherapy from Simone and from the pediatrician Dr. Martina John made a deep impression on her. “That’s why I decided as a teenager to pursue a career as a nurse!”
Every good deed – as well as every bad one – can have consequences for the future. Elizabeth is an extremely capable nurse who has worked her way up to a management position for a reason.
We can take it for granted that the dessert tasted excellent in the canteen a week ago after this interesting intermezzo. /KDJ
