With a gigantic finale
It is hard to put into words. 250 singers from the Diospi Suyana children’s clubs gave their last performance on stage. Tension, passion and concentration. But the highlight came at the end. The 15-year-old Steeph sang as Jesus: “I will come again like lightning and thunder in the night!” And the choir replied: “You will come again like thunder and lightning in the night!” At that moment – you have to read this very slowly – there was lightning and thunder over Curahuasi. Simultaneously, impressively and convincingly. Such “coincidences” happen at Diospi Suyana because God holds everything in his hands.

Before Diospi Suyana pitched its tents in Curahuasi 21 years ago, the place was a village with dirt roads and mud houses. Now, in 2024, things are happening on the “world stage of our amphitheater” that no one would have thought possible back then. The Jesus mentioned in the musical acted because many people trusted him. A hospital, school, media center, festivals and children’s clubs were established. And it was the children from these clubs who enchanted everyone, including themselves, last night with their emphasis and passion.
