Two life plans at dawn

We follow one of the two

I reach the Curahuasi cab stop shortly after half past three. The usual procedure: Drive to Cusco, flight to Lima, deal with the authorities and back again. Unfortunately, there are no passengers and I have to wait for almost an hour.

Cab driver 1 owns a KIA with the inscription: “It was never luck, it was God!” – He’s right. I look up to the sky and know that God is there. He guides me and accompanies my life with love and care.

To the left is cab driver 2. in his Toyota. His concept of life is different. “You’re not my competitor. You’re just in my way!” Most people probably think like him. It’s about my advantage. I want to get ahead and don’t want to be hindered by anyone.

Cab driver 1 is committed to a higher power. We have the task of honoring God and seeking his will. Cab driver 2 sees himself at the center of the universe. A cold egoism reigns and his elbow is hard and merciless. Which of the two vehicles would we rather get into?

It’s about me.
